Trip from WA to GA

so we're moving to Georgia, back to where we were before moving to Washington. we got on the road July 14th, after finally getting the truck on the trailer (the trailer was broken and wouldn't tip so we could just drive the pickup onto it, so we had to figure out how to do that manually). we only made it to Ellensburg, WA the first night. then the next day when we stopped for diesel, Joel noticed this shredded tire on the trailer. nice, huh?

then we stopped in Missoula, Montana for the night. we had breakfast/lunch at a Pizza Hut. with both our delays, we ended up traveling in the late morning or afternoon to late night.
interesting rock formations

see the pointy steep-sided hill on the left side of the photo?

black angus
beautiful landscape

not happy about being in the car

the sign says "Yellowstone Nat'l Park"

"Wyoming Welcomes You"after passing through the rest of Montana and Wyoming on Wednesday, the 16th, we stopped in Rapid City, South Dakota.

part of the Badlands

Joel and i really like the color of the lake and the grass surrounding it.

pretty and serene
normally, this was my view; i used the mirror so much.
more angus
really hilly

weird sculpture. looks like a bull or deer

looks like a tulips sculpture
we stopped Thursday night in Warrenton, Missouri, an hour from St. Louis. here we're coming into St. Louis.
the Millenium Hotel and the Arch, or whatever it's called.
the rocks looked so cool

another bridge with smoke stacks in the background
yeehaw, Kentucky!

the sign says, "Elizabethtown"
Tennessee, ya'll
then we finally got to stop driving when we got to Georgia, whoo-hoo! i don't want to drive anymore. it was a total of 2,915 miles, just shy of three thousand!

  1. Nice tire! So that's why so many people were honking and pointing at the trailer! ; )
