still training

well, when we're home, Ezekiel is just in cotton trainer underwear or plain underwear. he's really excited about htem, he loves wearing them. he wanted to wear them to bed and i was hesitant b/c he'd worn them for naps, but never for the night. he doesn't pee until he wakes up anyway. it worked fine this morning; i just made him go sit on the toilet first thing, as soon as i saw him sit up. he's been sleeping in the living room b/c the bedroom is too small and so it's pretty easy to see as soon as he's awake. he's still having wet underwear, but at least he notices it every time he wets them. i just try to ask him very often, sometimes every ten minutes. i would say maybe set the potty timer for smaller intervals if he's wetting in between, maybe more like half an hour or twenty minutes. i would say don't throw away the diapers ever, especially since you have another coming and would eventually fit into Matthew's current size. if he keeps needing them, that one thing, and if he potty trains before they're all gone, that's fine too. Most boys aren't fully trained til after three, and even then, they still might have accidents from time to time. Ezekiel's not doing well with the telling Mommy i have to pee part. he tends to call it all poopy. he pooped twice in the toilet yesterday, i don't remember how many pees. i should start the sticker thing, one column for pee, one for poop, so Ezekiel can see his progress and i can too. i just wouldn't know when i could stop rewarding him. would it go til he's eight? lol.

i tend to want to put a diaper on him when we go out, but he pleads to wear underwear. but then of course, he doesn't tell me when we're out that he has to go (or when we're home either).
