still more training

awesome! Ezekiel's been pee-accident-free for maybe a week except for sometimes he'll wake up wet after sleeping long and hard overnight. he's making progress with not pooping in his underwear. he's been making his stuffed elephant poop on the toilet. it's so funny, he even wipes the elephant's butt.
Ezekiel started peeing standing up maybe a week and a half ago. he started doing it all by himself he loves it! it's also much easier for me when we're out of the house. he can walk into the restroom by himself and i can carry the diaper bag and Ian and open the stall and he knows what to do. he even aims well! i just tell him to aim it at the water. before he knew how to stand up to pee it was a struggle to hold Ian and line the toilet with paper and then get Ezekiel up on the seat, ugh, what a hassle. it's also fun for him to be allowed to "pee in the bushes." when we're out at the house, there's no restroom that i know it's okay for us to use yet, so i hold my own, but he can't for very long, so i'll have him pee near a bush or tree. we were out there a few days ago with the realtor doing an unofficial walk-through and Ezekiel said he had to pee, but i told him he had to wait, b/c we were talking with the realtor at the time. he goes outside to the end of the sidewalk leading up to the house, pulls down his shorts and underwear and that's when i catch him. of course, then Joel and the realtor saw him when i did, so i just tried my best to shuffle him over to the side of the house so he could go. it was hilariously awful!
i ended up doing the stickers for pooping only and it's working pretty well. still having accidents, but he has been going on his own the last few days.
Ezekiel loves flushing too, it's kinda like a reward for him. he just needed a little more encouragement for pooping in the toilet.
i found it very helpful to have lots of underwear. i think Ezekiel has 17 pairs. i think i bought two 3-packs of the trainer underwear, then a 3-pack of Cars underwear, then a 5-pack of regular Hanes briefs (which he called Daddy's underwear, lol) it might have been a six-pack, then a 3-pack of airplane ones from Wal-mart. it almost seemed like that was too few for several days, even with washing them every other day. but now, it seems like the right amount, especially now that i can just about wash on a normal schedule.
it's so funny with Ezekiel, b/c Joel and i will be talking and Ezekiel will be playing and talking to himself and then we'll all the sudden realize Ezekiel's saying, "i need to go pee-pee, i need to go pee-pee!" and we're like, "go!" so he runs in there and does his business and then comes back and tells us, or he makes us go in there to see, "Come in here, Mommy! come in here! i want you to see." in the beginning we would go in with him, but he's fully capable to do it on his own now. he just still likes the praise, lol.
