since we celebrated Christmas so late, Joel didn't want to bother trying to get a live tree, so Darcelle lent us this cute little artificial one, already decorated.

Joel got Home Depot gift cards from both my dad and sister-in-law Michelle who drew his name for the gift exchange way back during Christmas. Joel was hounding me all day to let him go spend them, but i wouldn't let him. i kept saying, "it's Christmas; they're not open," lol.
