trip down to CA

on Friday evening we set off driving south to Joel's parents' house and then it started snowing about an hour and a half into our journey. i was pretty anxious about driving in the snow, but i eventually settled down b/c it wasn't freezing temperatures. the real problem is when the snow melts on the roadway and then refreezes into slippery ice. just snow is fine, or if it melts, it's just like driving where it's rained.

it was really unexpected. the latest it snowed last year was early March.
